Mortality is high due to non-communicable diseases in Russia, Ukraine and other Soviet states.
WHO found that 90% of the world population are living below the WHO air quality standards and this leads to death of millions of people. Air quality is very poor in Bulgaria, China and India. In these countries with average of 171 deaths per 100,000 population was due to air pollution in 2012.
