Kwashiorkor

This is the syndrome produced by the severe deficiency of the proteins.

This is characterized by:

1. Retarded growth.
2. Changes in the hairs.
3. Pigmentation of the skin.
4. Edema.
5. pathological changes in the liver:
   1. Fatty infiltration.
   2. Necrosis.
   3. Fibrosis.
