Suggested Screening Tests
Here are a few important screening tests that we suggest. 1. Stool Occult Blood–One should have yearly screening after the age of 45 years. 2. Liver enzyme levels–May be helpful for monitoring of patient on hepatotoxic drugs. 3. Amylase level–In case of abdominal pain may be helpful to rule out pancreatitis. 4. Thyroid stimulating harmone (TSH)– This will diagnose hypo or hyperthyroidism and is advised for people 50 years and over. 5. Urine Culture–Detects Pyuria 6. TT(tuberculosis test)–This is the easiest test for the screening of tuberculosis. 7. Fasting Blood Sugar–Every 3 year Starting at 45 years of age. It monitors the diabetes mellitis.
