Spleen Tumors
Tumors of the spleen may be benign and malignant.
Benign tumors :
- Benign cyst of Echinococcus.
- Mesothelium lined inclusion cyst.
- The false cyst which has no lining and this may be encapsulated hematoma.
- Rarely may be a hemangioma.
Malignant tumors:
Primaries are Non-Hodgkin’ lymphoma (NHL) and Hodgkin’s lymphoma (HD)>.
Secondary involvement is by the NHL and HD.
