According to BBC, the UK team was able to detect the cancer cells when these were tiny.

When these cancer cells cannot be detected by CT scan or MRI.

This research was done on lung cancer patients.

The trial was funded by Cancer Research UK, the sample was taken from the lung cancer when removed during surgery.

The blood test was done every three months to find the recurrence after the surgery. It can find any trace of cancer DNA reemerged.

Dr.Christopher Abbosh, from the UCL cancer institute, said: “We can identify patient to treat even if they have no clinical signs of the disease, and also monitor how well therapies are working.
